With his compassion and experience in recovery, Donald strives to keep patients first throughout the treatment process. His honest representation of our programs and services allows patients to have a positive experience throughout the recovery process.
Having spent the last sixteen + years in the addiction recovery field and with over 30 years personally in recovery, Donald is constantly motivated to help others. Before transitioning his career to the behavioral health field, he spent nearly 17 years in the automotive industry. He served in Executive Management for 14 of those years where he received national recognition for customer satisfaction and sales expertise.
Donald’s passion for changing people’s lives is never-ending, whether it’s making a positive impact on patients, employees or coworkers. His life focus has always been to assist others in reaching their potential.
Dr. Riccardo Esposito, MD
Medical Director
Dr. Riccardo Esposito, MD, is a family medicine specialist in Kingston, NY, with over 44 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from Vignan’s International Medical Technology University/Faculty of Medicine in 1978. Dr. Esposito has worked in addiction medicine for over 30 years; for the last 27 years, he has worked with adolescents in treatment.
He approaches each patient on a personal level and works with them to not only deal with their addiction but also guide them in taking care of themselves physically and the importance of self-care. His years working in the field of addiction have been the most rewarding of his medical career. Dr. Esposito is a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine-ASAM.
Mark Marshall, LCSW
Clinical Director
Mark Marshall is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of New York with over 20 years of experience in the substance abuse, adolescent, and mental health fields. He is a certified evidence-based practitioner and has been clinically supervising new graduates for over a decade. His background in the military and sports has informed his ability to work with adolescents in various settings.
Mark has associate degrees in chemical dependency counseling and human services from Schenectady Community College (2004), a Bachelor’s of Social Work from The College of Saint Rose (2006), and a Master’s of Social Work from Adelphi University (2007). As the clinical director, Mark is always available for the guardian to discuss their child’s care along the continuum of care offered here at Haven Teen Treatment and is excited about the opportunity to be allowed the privilege of doing so.
Roland Miley
Program Director
Roland Miley is an Advanced Credential Alcohol and Substance Abuse Adolescent Counselor with a demonstrated history of working in Residential Recovery Services for Youths. With over two decades working directly with adolescents from all backgrounds, Roland has gained skills in Adolescent Therapy, Crisis Intervention, Family Therapy, Behavior Modification, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Crisis Intervention, and Case Management. Roland has had a passion for adolescent care for his entire life, as evidenced by his long career.
Steve Grant, LMHC
Primary Therapist
Steven Grant has been a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor since 2018. Steven has experience working with many different client populations but prefers working with adolescents. Steven is dedicated to using an ever-expanding toolbox of methods and techniques to provide the best therapy he can. His specialty is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, focusing on how thoughts and feelings can affect behavior and working to improve at least one for the benefit of all three. Steven hopes to use everything he’s learned to help children make the changes they need to be happier and healthier.
Jessica Mauer
Primary Therapist
Jessica Mauer is a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor through the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS).
A dedicated substance abuse counselor with a focus on helping adolescent clients achieve treatment goals and personal well-being, she meets the objectives of the counseling program by providing preventative education, advocacy, mediation, and counseling to clients.
Working as a counselor in the field for the past five years, Mauer’s areas of expertise are family-focused therapy, conflict resolution, and crisis intervention. Prior to her current counseling position, Mauer worked as a Behavioral Health Technician for several years, as well as in Admissions.
Mauer has an M.S. in Public Relations and Corporate Communication from New York University and a B.S. in Public Relations and Journalism from Utica College of Syracuse University. Mauer is currently in the process of obtaining her Master of Social Work degree.
Cori Sickler, CASAC 2
Senior Administrator
Cori Sickler has worked in the behavioral health field for 24 years. She has her CASAC 2 Primary Therapist License and is currently studying for her RN. She is expected to graduate in 2024. Cori works with the state licensing authority to ensure compliance and operate at the highest standards. Her knowledge of state regulations and compliance allows us to offer the highest level of care while ensuring patients receive care above all standards.
Kerry Pharmer, LCAT
Creative Arts therapist
Kerry Pharmer is a Licensed Creative Arts therapist with a master’s degree in Creative Arts Therapy from Pratt Institute. She has experience working with adolescents with mental health and substance use issues. In the art studio, activities create opportunities for clients to gain insight into their thoughts and feelings and practice cognitive restructuring skills to manage difficult emotions and prevent relapse. Kerry is adept at using structured art activities to teach mindfulness and improve self-esteem.
Raina Monahan
Director of Nursing
Raina Monahan, RN, has a Bachelor of Arts in International Economics and Spanish from Franklin and Marshall College (1986) and an associate degree in Applied Science in Nursing from Dutchess Community College (1999).
Her career began at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY, in Interventional Radiology, where she was nominated for the hospital’s Excellence in Nursing Award for two consecutive years. She was promoted to IR charge nurse, then IR coordinator of Nursing, which culminated with earning her Advanced Practice Nurse status. In 2010, Raina transitioned to home infusion nursing with Coram Specialty Infusions.
After many years of on-call nursing, she transitioned into School Nursing, focusing on adolescent care. It was during this transition that Raina became interested in trauma response and substance abuse. Raina has pursued self-education and attended numerous online training sessions regarding these issues. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Raina volunteered with the Dutchess County Medical Reserve Corps, caring for affected individuals housed in the City of Poughkeepsie homeless pods.
Quineta McGinnis, LPN
Nurse
Quineta McGinnis, LPN, has worked in behavioral health for 13 years. She prides herself on providing top-level nursing care and being available as a resource for patients to learn and grow in their recovery journey. With her many years of experience, she works closely with the clinical team to help provide the best outcomes for our patients.

Chef Kim grew up cooking for her family, developing a passion for food from an early age. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Chef Kim has honed her skills and expertise in a wide range of culinary styles, including multinational cuisine. Chef Kim has taken pride in her ability to create delicious meals that satisfy the taste buds and nourish the body. One of Chef Kim’s core principles is to focus on healthy, balanced, and clean ingredients. She firmly believes a healthy diet is essential for a healthy mind and overall well-being.
Beyond the culinary aspect, Chef Kim finds joy in connecting with others through food, believing that sharing a meal can bring people together, foster a sense of community, and create lasting memories. Chef Kim also has extensive experience in accommodating dietary restrictions. She understands the importance of catering to various dietary needs and preferences, ensuring everyone can enjoy their meals without compromising taste or quality.
